Ok.... Ankle's Better... and So Is The Knee
Shortly after the ankle got better I took a fall and over-rotated... Ended up whacking my knees together on the fall. One knee felt great. The other was real tender for a week or so. The thing of it is I frequently have trouble taking ukemi for this one particular guy. He's super tall. Often I feel like I rotate too far. I'm wondering if falling from the higher height is messing up my timing or something.
Anyway... The knee is now better so I'm guess I'm back to my regular self. I've had lots of good classes. Monday was an interesting combination.
The first class at Salem had us doing some good basic movements. Something like a Morotetori Kokyuho at one point. Good practice to go over basic movement. Things felt pretty good. Bob had the uke's give some resistance. The goal was to do the technique without strength. I had no problems at all for this one.
I headed out to Beverly afterwards. Matt had us doing lots of nikkyo. In fact... I'm calling it a nikkyo night at Beverly. I was frequently borrowed as demo boy. There are so many ways to apply this. Some of them I'm apparently better at than others.
